Why be a Civitan?

Site Updated 05/25/2019

We meet the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at the Willohaven Country Club-Umstead Pines

Why Be A Civitan? Simply Speaking…To pay our civic rent. We believe that we should give a portion of our time and talents to help others, and in doing so, make our communities a better place to live and work.  It may be a child looking for someone to turn to for love. It may be a senior citizen simply wishing to share a moment of conversation. It may be a mentally handicapped person needing special care. Or it may be the building and staffing of a sheltered workshop for the physically handicapped. Whatever the need, Civitans care…. And more importantly, our concern moves us to action.
