Why Be A Civitan? Simply Speaking…To pay our civic rent. We believe that we should give a portion of our time and talents to help others, and in doing so, make our communities a better place to live and work.  It may be a child looking for someone to turn to for love. It may be a senior citizen simply wishing to share a moment of conversation. It may be a mentally handicapped person needing special care. Or it may be the building and staffing of a sheltered workshop for the physically handicapped. Whatever the need, Civitans care…. And more importantly, our concern moves us to action.

Durham Civitan Club

The Durham Civitan Club was chartered in October of 1938.Our club is part of North Carolina District East Civitans which is also a part of Civitan International.
